I was talking to an (arse) Bandit rider planning to cafe racer his bike. He was saying that the Bandits use double pods (see pic below) to get their bikes to run right.
The Bandits would appear to use the same carbs as us - 32mm Mikunis.
Has anyone tried this?
What is the distance between the carbs (will any of the K&N ones fit)?

See, that's for individual pods. But the Bandit owners have found that because of the difference in jetting on the inner pods, it really messes up cylinders 2 & 3.To solve this, rather than using 4 single pods, they use 2 double pods (each pod covering 2 carbs).
My question was whether anyone had tried that course of action for their bikes, or if the pods would fit!

LOL!!
Don't suppose you know the carb spacing, do you? Might try it, see if I can get it to work if K&N do one that fits.

dont you have to remove the rear wheel, cut the subframe in half and remove cylinder 1 and 5 conrods to get the original airbox out
Don't be silly, that's the FZ600 you have to do that on. On the FZS it's cut the frame into thirds :rolleyes
