Hi all. New to site. New to motor cycle world. In fact I'm yet to pass my test, however, this hasn't stopped me just purchasing a Frazer 600 on a V plate. 19k on clock two owners and all history. Gold/black. Got an awesome deal and will seek some advice re bits to do to it. Baaed on sunny east coast.

maybe the pic but it looks like the bike has been lowered on the arse end.....also sitting up high on the side stand....any idea???

Thanks guys. No test date. Got such a deal from mate at work who wants rid to make space I took it of his hands for 800 squid. Needs some attention re paint, pitting and rust on clips. No idea re low rear end nor belly pan - I'll have to research it!! The 1st owner left it outside for years

You can adjust for preload only.


If it is height you refer to then thes you can......but only by getting a different length set of dog bones (long thin metal bar each side of the shock) and if the dog bones are longer than standard it has been lowered, shorter than standard therefore jacks the bike up.


As it happens i have a pair of jack up bars from my old 600 giving at least 25mm increase over standard but probably more.......yours for a tenner posted if you want them......if you use the search function on here and type dogbone length there has been much discussion about it in the past and the standard length is on there (140mm centre to centre rings a bell but i cant remember).

I have a R6 shock upgrade that'll fit your Fazer, have a little look around the site and find the topic about doing this upgrade ( sorry, im  to stoopid to put a link up ! ) , I had brought it off  kebab19 off here but never got round to fitting it before I sold the bike last weekend, ive offered it to the bloke who took my Fazer off me but he hasnt got back to me about it so its up for grabs if your interested. You'll probably want to get your test out the way first im guessing ?!!

Cheers people. I'll do some research and get back to you both. But sounds good. I'm a complete novice to bikes but appears fairly easy and interesting to work on. Will keep Mrs happy spending hours in garage!
