Just thought i would give my bike a little check over and opened the oil filler thing and came across this.
I do about 14 miles a day - 7 to work - 7 home. thats town riding and max around 40 miles an hour.
lately its been pretty frosty around here and tried to warm the bike up a bit before riding but as i start work early and the bikes on my drive i don't like pissing the neighbors off.
yep it's well documented on here now and always this time of year, small journeys, not enough thrashings, oil emulsifying.
nowt to worry about, just give it a good old blast and if it was me id probably change the oil first and then make sure you give the bike a good run now and then.
there's a recent post on this exact question within the last week im sure of it, with a similar pic if it gives you more peace of mind to see it. 8)
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

I normally go through and read all the posts on here and must of missed that one.
I just use my bike for commuting and thats about it, will look at changing the oil and taking for a good run.

lol, with great difficulty, spent 5 minutes the other day chasing a 5p coin around the self service floor at tesco, gave up in the end.
Been doing it for 30 odd years, but trying this week.
thanks for that.
Finally getting all the little kinks ironed out and would of been gutted if it would of been something serious.
i ride all year round, but only really commuting, maybe now the weathers starting to pick up i might take it further a field.
although i do have my eye on a 2002 fox eye :-)
