For the kind of money you're talking about, a decent KTM (reliable/un-trashed) is probably out of the picture.
What about a DRZ400 (trail or Supermoto with just a swap of wheels) - or if you want something simpler, as well as lighter and less "damageable" how about one of these (Honda CRF 230). We've had both and loved them both (both on and off-road). Your budget should get you a very nice one of either. ![]()

Picked this up yesterday, so far am loving the contrast between that and the Fazer.
Got a feeling it's gonna get dirty. 8)

Given you already have one of the best Japanese inline 4's
![]() I have been looking at weekend toys for ages. I keep coming back to the aprilia tuono. Will probably keep its value fairly well and that thumping twin will put a grin on your face. I also have a taste for the XJR1300... love that retro muscle bike look. B-King is another option.. not many were made or sold so again could be a good investment.
Lord,
Grant me the WD-40 to move those things that are stuck, the Duck tape to fasten those things that are loose, And the wisdom to know the difference. Amen

I think the tuono is a great choice fuzzbom. I had a falco, which has a similar v twin rotax engine and i loved it. Loads of character and great handling.
If it's broken, it's not fixed.
