True enough mate a few days ago I thought it could be properly focced. When they go over 60K you can't be spending big bucks to keep them on the road.

That private road you obviously frequent a lot, wouldn't be a coal mine perchance?
You have a black air filter, i've never seen that before. :eek

You're gonna give your bike a lung transplant, if you got on my bike and gave the throttle a bit of welly you'd be straight on your arse! :lol

Why did you replace the k&n with a new k&n- they're made to be cleaned and re-oiled!
'recharge kits' as k&n call them are readily available from Halfords which includes cleaning fluid and oil enough for several amounts of cleaning of the filter!
Some say...

The recharge kit needs time for the clean filter to dry out and I needed the bike on the road - I probably could have waited til there was a gap once I'd figured out the grip thing but there wasn't a huge amount of difference in the price between the new filter(16 v 30) and the cleaning kit and I figured I'd never this grungy thing fully clean. If anyone wants the old one drop me a line.

What mileage would you say was on that filter? Did you get the magical 50,000 miles between cleans?

Reckon I put it in about 40K ago
