gb-moto carbon fibre fairing.
#1
Hi I,m sorta new here been watching your forums whilst I,ve been looking for a good Fzs 1000.
Ok so I,ve finally found one.Im in N.Ireland and I,ve got a 2004 Fzs1000 with 19,000 odd miles on it really good condition just done a full service i.e. plugs oil oil filter air filter and a new Mivv exhaust.
Just a quick question has anyone bought a GB-Moto carbon fiber nose fairing?
Mine is broken and scuffed where the bike has just fallen over around the right hand indicator side.
Any views on the quality of carbon parts as originals are horribly expensive even if I could get an original part?

I have fitted their tail section to my 02 fazer and I found it a very good fit, I did not have to alter or force the trim to fit, I am impressed in the fit. I cant say for the fairing though.

Hi and welcome. Smile

Have you actually priced the Yamaha fairing?  I ask because back in the day, it wasn't that expensive - under £140 if memory serves me right.

They come in the base colour and the decals are extra but the whole lot may be cheaper than you fear.

Agreed with falcon on this.

Not too long ago it was ascertained on here that the prices advertised on the dealers computers or websites was actually wrong and that when they went to order them the true lower price was revealed.

Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Zero Limits may be worth a try, they do a wide range of carbon for the Fazer

I went to my local dealer and hit a price, it was £140 for the tail fairing for mine, but in my case it is no longer available anywhere, the last one yamaha had sold was a year previously. Looking on cmnsl site they didn't have one either but their price was €468 !!

If it's broken, it's not fixed.

Went ahead and bought the carbon fibre fairing should be here next week.
Got a quote from a local Yamaha dealer of over 350 odd quid for a new one and they could,nt guarantee it would be the same colour plus the decals are extra.
