That BM looks more like the Gen 2 fazer I reckon.

& everything these days seems to be Tiger like.

but not this BM....with the smaller wheels and the front fairing it's defo fazerish......except the way they've stuck on the screen is saying "honest im not a fazer" look ive got a proper tourer type screen.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

I really like the look of that Beemer. Just a shame that the adventure bike genre don't quite ride like I'd like them to. Sad
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

I rather like the look of this Minsk 250 (actually a re-badged Zongshen) The price is even more attractive -about £3200 on the road (complete with cases and warranty) As an adventure bike it makes sense -cheap, small engine, economical, over engineered ( ok, it's a bit heavy) and chinese engine bits are pretty easy to get hold anywhere thesedays.

I've seen this engine in bikes all over SE Asia and it's bombproof mate. I've ridden one (badged a Liffen) 1,500 miles through Vietnam and another badged Zongshen 200cc variant for 2,500 miles around Thailand and into Indonesia. They are not perfect, but are just as reliable as anything else. Don't knock it until you've tried it mate.

Lived and worked in Shanghai for 18 months (2009/11)overseeing the Construction of LNG Gas Carriers (ships) they were costing £210 million a ship. The build quality was that poor Llyods of London refused to insure them.
Sorry but the Chinese just do not do quality. The first load port refused to have them back again for six months until they came up to standard. The engine room was a death trap. It is only a matter of time before one of those ships has a major accident.
If we raised a complaint about an item of machinery installation nothing was done about. One of the Lloyds surveyors refused to pass an item. He was flown home with many injuries resulting from getting a good kicking. THe ships were eventually insured by ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) they will insure anything.
Anyway the post was about the BMW look alike Fazer not some Chinese copy of something else, because Simon that is all the Chinese do is COPY and us poor quality materails, how cold does it get in Vietnam/Thailand, bet there is not a lot of salt on the roads out there.

Pardon me, but the japanese based their whole motorcycle industry on COPYING the British machines, if you don't like people copying other manufacturers then perhaps out of principle you should stop riding your Fazer.
Most parts of the motorcycle you'll be riding in 10 years time will be made in China, so i guess you'll have to get used to it.
