So, decided to go H's café for the last bike night of the year on Monday. Kept telling myself to take it easy, as I haven't ridden in the dark for a while. Came to a bend after a stretch of NSL, but was picturing in my mind a different corner for some reason - never ridden this road at night before. So I had scrubbed some speed (wasn't going very fast anyway), but by the time I realised my mistake, it was too late, as the bend fk'd off sharply to the left. Tried to scrub as much speed as possible, but like a numpty, locked the back, bike skidded, and down we went. Landed full weight on my left side (again! :'( ). Corner was unlit, although there was a little light from a side road - alas, not enough!

Ouch! Police-arranged recovery £150 inc., storage x1 day £10 inc., delivery to home £95 + vat. Oh well, all done, it's coming home today.
Cheers for the offer anyway Paul.

Bike is home
![]() Damage: ![]() which means bent fairing frame, but not badly. ![]() Got the missing piece - a clean break. Bungs certainly did their job: ![]() Couple of small scrapes on fuel tank; not even dented ![]() ![]() All on LHS, nothing at all on right, bars not even bent, mirror very slight scrape, and that's it. Rideable as is, but tax due now so will SORN it for a month or two.

I think all the bodywork is repairable Mickey, so will probably eventually go down that route.

I serviced me old EXUP valve today, eventually. In between the down pours. Only the valve though, the cables can wait for a while as I flooded the cables last year so I know they can wait some.

Today i attempted to adjust left switch position only to find the screws keep rounding. I'll need to fix that.
Also discovered my clutch cable is badly frayed. Waiting on a replacement. Also also discovered the braided line on the left front calliper has sprung a leak of ... indeterminate enthusiasm, so i cleaned it up and will be keeping an eye on it. Bolt seemed tight, just hoping it won't require a new line.

Took advantage of the mild weather and went for a bimble round the Yorshire moors. Took some piccies on the way back but cannot upload them as my laptop has decided not to recognise my phone anymore.
I rode for 2 hours in city traffic, although it doesn't matter as long as I am on the bike
