i use 758's love em but you need lower risers - i grind off the nibs then were the switch gear goes 3 wraps of insulation tape and never had em move

Cool, i had the 758's on my old bike and they were nice, i sold them :\ .......ill kid nyself they were the wrong colour for the thou.........i used double sided tape but i got the feeling it wasnt really needed so i might just try insulation tape.

The standard bars are total shite as i cant get leverage to properly countersteer without being lying on the tank.....if im remotely upright they are just hard work.

Cheers! :thumbup

Why not do it properly and just drill the bars?

A few reasons Joe, i dont have a suitable drill, i'd foc it up for sure & probably drill my fingers, it's difficult to know for sure what position you want the new bars to be in and not drilling them allows for some dynamic adjusting on the hoof, renthal bars are bloody solid plus theres some gumf about how they shouldnt really be drilled because of structural integrity although i dont quite believe that last one.

Had a days holiday so thought as it was such a nice day i'd give my brakes a good service and grease up before the winter weather kicks in.
A few hours later and i was just nipping up the the very last thing before finishing, and one of the rear pad pins wouldn't do up, it just kept rotating.  :'(
I'm a bit miffed by this as i'm not heavy handed, copper grease every bolt and use a torque wrench.
It seems the caliper thread has just given up, the pad pin thread is fine as it's a harder metal.
There was a little bit of bite there so i've Loctite'd it for the time being but it's not ideal.  :\

Put my spare Osram H7 bulb in after the dipped beam blew last night and I had to ride back along country roads with a £3.99 candle powered bulb fitted lol

Dropped the sump to check the Strainer on the oil pick up as the downpipes are off.
Pleasantly surprised by the condition after 85000 miles Smile and nothing untoward in the sump.

Trying to decide what make to go for in the replacement of the original downpipes.
