Ah, yes Noggy, that would of been Captain Birdseye....Black ZZR 1400, remember him well.
He didn't hang about on that thing, at one point remember seeing him on the back wheel and the boyish grin he had on his face when we stopped for a cuppa at Southend made me realise why we do this. Good on him, he certainly gets about.

Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
was surprised the bike started today as hav'nt touched it for 3 weeks so instead of cleaning it i went to lyme regis for lunch on it,took the long route there but came home the normal way as i had to get back to walk the dog. gotta book the MOT so will get out again on tuesday on my day off as i need my garage to check something before it goes in. God i hate bloody MOT time
Went out with Nick Crisp and met some others, had the normal full english fryup . then rode some of Herefordshire finest roads on down to Tintern for coffee..
A good little ride,,,is that it for Summer then? i ask,,reckon so..
Also tested out the part worn (part worn out tyre) on the back,,seems fine.

An ageing test pilot for home grown widgets that may fail at anytime.
Decided to check the battery voltage to see what would happen after a couple of days on charge, then leaving it for a while not charging, but when I came to unplug the connector from the Optimate, the plastic section on the end of the wires which connect to the battery came with it!
So I very carefully pushed it back in place, then get some insulating tape to cover the postive terminal before it decided to short against the frame before lifting the tank and taking the whole thing off.
I've managed to bodge it back in place so it will still charge for now, but I've ordered a new one that should be arriving next week to replace it.
