Hi Clive, I can't tell you if the S2 shock will fit your bike, but I'm sure you will find the answer on this forum somewhere. I think £60 plus post for the shock and standard spring is fair ( you could sell the lower spring for about £30 or so). I replaced this shock with the standard one for my bike but didn't really notice any height difference, so not sure what benefit buying lower spring does. Try it - not much risk at this price. Cheers. Nigel.

:rollin lol, sorry Grahamm. Clive, I've packed the shock and spring up and it weighs 4.5Kg, so it'll be £7 postage signed for at your end. If you can private message me with your address, i'll reply with my bank details for you to do an internet transfer. Hope that is ok with you. Cheers, Nigel.

Out of interest, did you buy/ get the shock pre-made or did you do the work yourself?

I've had a look and found Hyperpro springs for around £85, so I'm wondering if I could retro-fit one to my FZ6.

Hi Grahamm - the bike was supplied to it's first owner with the hyperpro spring fitted, and the original spring came with it unused and was consequently passed on to me when I bought the bike. I am not short, so instead of having the springs swapped over, I bought a used shock to see what difference it made. I couldn't tell the difference so decided to sell the my shock to recover some of the cost of buying the replacement. Clive bought the shock, so it might be worth you getting in touch with him if he swaps springs over and maybe sell you the Hyperpro one.

Thanks for the reply. My inside leg is only about 29.5", so even with the seat cut down I have problems with the height (I've dropped the bloody thing about a dozen times over the years because it's leaned over just too far to hold up Sad )

I've had a bit more of a look and it seems to fit the Hyperpro you need a bloody great spring compressor (which I don't have) and judging by his messages above, Clive was after the lower shock too.

Seems I'll have to look elsewhere unless anyone else has one for sale...?
