Pretty shocking what they'll give a pass to these days
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Did Nothing to mine!  However did valve check & adjusted tickover, cleaned air filter & changed plug on friends YBR 125.
Thats a smart looking bike,Doddsie. Love that colour scheme. Easy to see why Fazers were, according to this weeks MCN, Europes best selling bike for some time!

Today was a ride to Middleham Castle, Jervaulx Abbey and Fountains Abbey - all fascinating places, and some nice riding.

Tomorrow will be more focused on pure enjoyment of riding.

Stevierst, I now see what you mean about petrol stations being few and far between up here - I've been filling up with sometimes just under half a tankful left just in case!

And the best road in the Yorkshire Dales so far is...

B6479/B6255 from Settle to Hawes, via Horton on Ribblesdale - wow, just wow  :evil

Just got back from that one, and on this beautiful summer evening it was completely empty  :b

Removed carbs to remove cam chain tensioner and re set. No fix. Split coolant pipe between carbs by accident, not good. Tried going backwards in gear with plugs out. Seems tensioner isn't my problem. Bad times

Glad I'm not the only one! Problem then is it is almost a tad quiet, but definitely prefer that to helmet crushingly loud. Still looks nice though at least.

Yeah the baffle end is curved down inside the can, so I'm going to try it like that for a wee while then maybe trim a small bit off to see if it make it a tad louder than wot it is....

Rode from Dijon to Genoa, via the Monte Blanc tunnel, there was a hours wait to go through, but not for me, lots of irrate forggies, Swiss, Ities and other nationalities as I swanned past the queue from the valley floor to the toll booths.

Sat-nav sent me to some cracking roads, (set it to no tolls) def no chicken strips on my rear tyre and now some scraps on the hero blobs.

Lots of picture postcard views but I'm not a great photographer so no shots yet.

Rome tomorrow, rest day Sunday for sightseeing.

Fitted kebabs R6 shock but first took the opportunity to remove and re-grease swing arm.

Note for anyone still to do the shock conversion on the 600 whether for r6 or the thou shock. Before refitting the swing arm, hang the new shock in place by the top bolt. It saves the fight to get the reservoir  up through the arm Smile

Also where I fitted everything back loosely when I came to tighten the bottom shock bolt the new dog bones blocked me from using a socket due to their shape.
