Bought it  Big Grin

Or, to be more accurate, paid off the outstanding balance on the loan for it. Hmmmm, PCP anyone?  :lol

I took the bike in to have new chain and sprockets, T30 tyres, and an MOT. My old BT21's had done just over 7000 miles, chain and sprockets 21500 miles. The rain forecast did not arrive, so I was able to ride the 40 miles home in the dry on new tyres. Good weather tomorrow so hope to be out for a ride.

Took it in to Cirencester for a service, pulling like a train now  Smile

Quite a lot of crap came out of the air filter, including a pigeon feather; oil & filter replaced; carbs balanced; lubes and check over. Plugs were fine, no problems found  Big Grin

Off to Wales tomorrow for the annual BBQ and bash for another forum - think it'll be mayhem, right bunch of looneys by the sound of it, but in a good way  :lol

May have just noticed the first signs of the rear shock getting tired. R6 item from Luke might be imminent.

Took the covers off and started them both, box eye 600 and gen 1. Was nice to hear them awake and growling. I ruptured my achillies tendon 10 weeks ago and have either been in plaster or wearing a huge plastic robo cop style boot which meant no riding. Yesterday the man at the hospital said that next week the boot comes off full stop. I cant wait to get out on the bikes. Its been a nightmare looking at them both sat there all sad and quiet. Can still enjoy a little slice of summer biking weather which is better than none at all.  Smile

Sat out in pre-noon sunshine cleaning bike, drinking coffee, talking to neighbours/passers by.
Then being a "mad dog & Englishman" type went for a 30 mile bimble round Romsley & Clent Hills while sun was overhead.
Met a guy at local Yamaha dealer with an MT09. Hes 81 & loves the bike :lol
Got too hot with all the gear on so back home in the shade drinking tea.
Its a hard life being retired!

You really do not want to know, unless of course you are inquisitive like Nick and wants to camp on the Beacons watching the others trading gear, rolling it ,injecting it,sniffing it, and thats just the girls :lol , than end up  fighting over the fact that no one wants to fight.

Good luck Nick, lock yer bike or put it in your tent Wink

Fitted a s/hand Juice Box Pro to my gen2. Tried all 4 off the different maps already on it which meant putting the standard  can back on and off twice. The bike felt a lot more smoother at low revs and now pulls cleanly and glitch free from tickover. I am going to download some more maps and have a  little play , see what difference they make.

Rode to work & back. (So what I hear you say?)

Rode to our office in Preston Brook which is a 90 mile journey across hill and dale and a blast down the M6/M56. Nearly ran out of fuel !!

Big respect to anyone who does motorway journeys regularly. I was blown all over and it was relentless. Much more fun on twisty dale roads.  :b

I love these seat covers...not just for touring but for generally feeling like attila the hun or conan the barbarian whilst out n about....i think the sportier the bike the better just for the contrast Smile
