Back safe and sound. Got a slight soaking near to home after a day of warm sunshine. Saw a big foc off cumulo-nimbus cloud, angry looking thing - stretched for miles - and was thinking for the last 30 miles, am I going under that?  :eek  Got closer and closer.....no, I'm just gonna skirt round it....no I'm not....oh sod it, here it is! Only 5 minutes under the edge of it, damp jeans, then dried out the other side. Another good day, good roads, nice scenery - just gonna have some dinner, then pics to follow.

So, went up to Shrewsbury, then A488 to Clun. Had a wander round the remains of the castle

Then up over the moors

Where FOC-Us very own sheep worrier spied for his next victim - caught in the act!

David, i wish i could join you, i think i may be out on Sunday, a south midlands spin, probably in loads of traffic :'( . just to keep my mate happy.

Nick has got me looking at smaller A and some B roads, he has found some ace roads joining our favourite roads up, i just did not think of it before,,exploring new roads, some close by.We came back on Sunday without using the A44, turned off it at Penybont, Dollau,Prestigne

TBH Bill, a large part of the reason I go to Wales so much is that the roads around here are, on the whole, a bit pants  :\ There are one or two short stretches that are fun, but it hasn't taken me long to get bored with this area. Too much traffic, and the surfaces are generally in an atrocious state.

Yes, but Ian wants to go to George Whites or whoever,,see whats on offer, so a couple of us will join him and maybe find a nice route after Swindon. So a steady morning ride to the shop it will be,,this time we wont be TT riding :lol
