Hello all. Can you help?
#1
Hello all. Bought my 2001 fazer 1000 last year after an 8 year spell away from road bikes and selling my beloved KTM EXC. I'm really impressed by the fazer and enjoy every ride. However, after a recent trip to Scotland I had the misfortune to have an argument with bambi at about 80mph!!!! I managed to stay on the bike but know need front forks, front mud guard and a new radiator!!! I am aware that original forks can be hard to get at reasonable prices so will have to go down the used items route. Some people say that forks from other bikes will fit (R1's and R6's). Can anyone who may have done such a mod please help with some good advice???

Many thanks and hello to all.

There are some forks in the for sale section.

In the 1000 section there seem to be some very clever men who put upside down forks in there Gen1s, brings them bang up to date in looks and equipment.

Thanks for the replies. Done a bit of home work and, as my forks aren't bent too much, I think I will get them straightened. As always, money is an issue!
I've pm'd another member who has a couple of other bits I also need. Fingers crossed I should be back on the road quite soon. As long as my foot hurries up and fixes itself!!! :'(
