Paignton bike night again. Several Fazers in attendance including a weird mix and match blue/silver thing. Most interesting was the run home.
Being a born again biker I've been having slight confidence issues with fast bends. Not any more!! Had a ZX9R (I think) and R1 come up behind me. The Kwak passed me and I sat between them for a couple of spirited miles. Fun but I was worried I'd do something stupid and cause the R1 a problem. I waved the R1 passed as we slowed to go through a little village. As we left the village they "went for it". Now I only had to worry about myself I tucked in behind them for the next few miles an "went for it" as well.
Had a MASSIVE grin on my face when they finally pulled over. They were opening a small gap on the straights but on the brakes and bends I reeled 'em straight back in. Superb. got a thumbs up from them as I went passed.
(in the interests of road safety all speed limits and road traffic laws were adhered to at all times during this post)

On the weekend we were up around Inveraray, Lochgilphead, Oban, Crainlarich, Inveraray again and home, yesterday met up with some mates down at Largs and the fun with the blade happened on the Langbank stretch lol
All of these runs are where I normally go, its great to have these on our doorstep.
I do have my own TT circuit when I only have a hour or so......up the A77 to Fenwick, to Kilmaurs, to Stewarton, to Neilston, to Barrhead, to Lugton, to Dunlop, to Stewarton and back down the Stewarton Rd to Newton Mearns.......kicking tits all the way :lol
Took it to Vernons (now moved to Farlington from Cosham in Portsmouth) got the rear pads replaced and then MOT'd
Then got home and found that the last time I topped up the Scotoiler I not only chucked away the empty bottle, but also the screw-on nozzle, so couldn't top it up again...

That really is a cracking road on Skye, but I find you've really got to decide before starting it what you want to do - enjoy the road or take in the scenery. Trying to do both will surely end in tears! :lol
