What did you do with whatever else you've got?
Defo kill me. Been round that corner hundreds of times, today, it decides to completely lose the rear end, go sideways along the road (nearly rolling), before trying to spit me off the road backwards. Impressive skidmarks all round!

Christo, I just don't think you're ready for your own motorised transport. Have you considered a bus pass?  Smile

Hey Christo i dont think the 106 even qualifies as having a back end it is that foccin small.

Maybe extreme loading has knackered its suspension.........carried any heavy stuff lately? :pokefun .

That being said...i did the same when i was a youth...in my Nova :o ......fully loaded with my mates & being too cocky......braking too late before corners in these little shit heaps can make the arse light.....& any bumps can pogo it up & make it doubly light.

Be careful dude coz i wouldnt wanna crash in a Nova......& a Nova is like a tank compared to a 106....actually have you considered a tank :b

It has a side - as it went sideways down t' road!  :eek

The handling on it's been pretty decent of late, hence my surprise.

No, but as it went sideways, I hit the clutch - I didn't want iot going in a field!! As the car came to a halt, I found my foot was still locked on the accelerator, revving away! I definitely had the foot off the clutch when the arse kicked out, as I was trying to apply corrective steering.

How are your rear wheel bearings? I've had a borrowed mk2 Jetta sideways in just the same situation due to a rear wheel jamming with the side loads. Got home to find the bearing knackered. Would've been nice of the lad to tell me beforehand.  :rolleyes
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

Funny, I had an advisory on a worn bearing on the rear at the MOT. Thought it was just the garage trying to make an easy buck off me. May have to reassess its seriousness...

*facepalm*

So you received health information about your car that could cause issues (including accidents) and decided it wasn't worth bothering with... even just to check yourself :|

I think I'm with nick on this one... maybe its time to go back to your pedal bike...

I wasn't aware it could lock up the rear, and the car felt stable. Like I said, time to reassess.
