Checked the wheel bearings and head bearings .

Brilliant run down the A338 etc to Bovington tank museum. Couldn't put it off any longer, getting Foccers together is too much like herding cats :rolleyes
One particular vehicle I wanted to see again was this Mk 1 Tiger, captured in North Africa
Disabled by a British Churchill, someone explain to me how the foc this damage disabled it, cos focced if I could see anything else
And then a run to Corfe Castle, bit busy, but enjoyable
And the roads were pretty empty on the way back, so much fun was had

Probably knocked a track of, we had nothing that could penetrate their armour at the time.
the night i was born, lord the moon stood a fire red., my poor mother her crying,
she said the gypsy was right, and she fell right dead
Although technically not today, yesterday replaced all my caliper retaining bolts with stainless bolts from pro-bolt and replaced the brake torque arm bolts with the same.
Took the time to check, clean with contact cleaner and spray with GT85 every connector under the seat and both side panels, including all the fuses, surprisingly for an 11 year old bike they were almost all ok with no signs of corrosion.
Just need to junk the Meta alarm or get a replacement.
Went for a blast on me fz1 loved every second of it not regretting getting rid of my gen 1 at all. I proper love the throaty growl of the gen2 and man on man that quickshifter is fun! Think I had it pinned in 1/2 but to scared to look down and see. Gonna try and find a decent sprayer tommorrow for the rear cowl and my newly acquired OCD

It is a great piece of kit, simple to use and easily stored, would not go anywhere without it.

Good to hear Paul, it's a cracking bike but has so many mods it's not your average gen2 & glad to see it's not the only thing I passed on

I have not fit them yet, the paint still seems a little soft, when I bolted the pegs back on the paint underneath the bottom bolt pinched slightly... I will wait till the morning to fit the main mounting bolts. Quite pleased with the paint, its just hycote satin on etch primer, I got it to do the wing mirror stalks which were wrecked but liked it enough to do these.
Seemed hard to take a picture of them, the flash caused major white-out and no flash was grainy...
The hardest thing to paint was actually the weights, it was rock hard and the shape made it difficult to get the wire brush on.
Will take pics on the bike tomorrow when....they are on the bike
Yeah, I know I have made a bit of a faux pas by using rusty nuts/bolts..... SS ones en route
I did the tiniest of tinkering today...some screen bolts from my 600.....not even sure if i like them.
& doing some fazer soul searching......junes Scotland bike trip may be the only chance i get at it over the next few years so i might just take the FZ & strip the 600 early........been out a few times on the 600 & while it is really flickable & far superior around town i am addicted to the pure grunt of the thou now.....it is immense.....the engine roar is really cool too but i have to say that with my end can it is a bit too noisy......never thought id say that either.......it has the baffle in too.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
