Ok, so not for Fazer hence general section. I'm rebuilding an old KZ, and I started thinking about clear clutch/flywheel/starter motor covers. Has anybody heard of such a thing, and know where I might get some - I would guess they have to be custom made especially for such an old bike.
I just thought it might look a bit 'trick' to show off some workings of the bike.
Pretty sure devilsyam made some for his Fazer and I think kosmic has one on his thou as well
Granted this is for the Fazer, but it was mostly pointing out that it certainly is possible and devilsyam might be able to point you in the right direction
Lots of people make them.
Or you can do it yourself with lexan and a tig welder.
I saw various bikes with glass engine covers at the BMF show, including an old Ducati with a shaft-driven cam which looked very interesting. Couldn't help thinking that you would surely only be able to see the engine running for a few seconds before they get splattered with oil though.
Devilsyam definitely has them, but I think his were custom made for him.
I reckon it works bettwe with Ducs as they have dry clutches - the minute any oil starts moving, all you see is a weird looking brown smear. Then again, it does call for a certain taste, and I personally am not a huge fan.
