Hi all I'm looking for some help I recently changed the big Star Wars bulky indicators on my FZS600 2000yr
And I've noticed they seem to blink allot quicker than the standard ones, is there a quick fix for this issue?? Any help would be much appreciated, ohh and there not the led upgrade there standard bulbs I've included a picture of them below
I can only imagine they are a lower wattage bulb than standard and drawing less current, subsequently causing the quicker flashing.. Will be an issue come MOT time if flashing more than the acceptable level.. Only seen it on the led type indicators which draw even less current.. Upgrade the bulbs (if poss) or fit resistors..
Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it..
Yes, those have 5W bulbs in them, the existing flasher unit expects a heavier load than that. You can change the flasher, the ones for LEDs should be fine. Alternatively, as mentioned above, you can add load resistors. Best to sort it sooner rather than later, any copper seeing that is going to have cause to pull you over.
Cheers for the help fellas I've just ordered a flasher relay that should solve the issue, does anyone know if its next to the battery or under the tank before I start looking in places I don't have to lol

Strange, I've got the exact same indicators but they came with 12V 23W bulbs which flash at the correct rate. Would've been easier to get the correct wattage bulbs from Amazon, £11 for 10 http://www.amazon.co.uk/MOTORCYCLE-MINI-...B00C0ZLV1A
