Came off the M6, slowed down to hear and feel a horrible rattling through the whole bike. Definitely speed rather than rev related so i thought "Shit. Front sprocket's going."
Nursed it into the works car park and found the spring holding the centre stand had come off, so the noise was the stand dragging on the road.
Thank blue fuck for that!
The spring was still there and undamaged, so I've got to see where it connects to on the stand and see if that's bust. But for now a couple of cable ties will get me home.
UPDATE: Had a look in the daylight and the lug for the spring has rusted off, so cable-tied it back in place and will get the welder out tonight.
Proper plate welded on now, better than the crappy little bar. Just got to source the rubber bung that mates up to the exhaust now.
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.
So there is another problem for owners to check up on, as these bikes get older these things show their heads,,,get down there mother :lol

Well after all that was said about my f1 mirrors, I decided on engineering a set of round convex mirrors onto the f1 arms, so here's the result.

Looks better than the old f1's, and you can see a damn sight more out of them.

And a close up.

I drilled & tapped several holes in the arm to allow for adjustment should it need it.
So what do you guys think, any better?

Just flapping about on this stagnant little pond on the outer rim of the internet.....yup.... :-))
Just been for a quick blast to work on it, mirrors are superb, you can see absolutely everything without having to move your arms, and no vibes!
Not sure about the screen yet, it needs squaring off a bit methinks.

Screen looks good. Better in white with "move over" (my u r polite) in black.

Marvellous.
I've crashed my Fazer yesterday, still waiting for details of garage where it was taken.
I am not too bad, but bike was most likely totalled

Took the rad off - stripped it, etch primed and waiting to put on some top coat, spending tomorrow going over ant tatty bits or oxidised nuts and bolts.
