The National Motorcycle Museum
#1
Was thinking of having a ride out and paying The National Motorcycle Museum a visit. Having looked it up I'm not sure I want to pay the £8.95 to get in, is it worth it?

Doesn't sound bad vvalue to m  - you'd pay a tenner just to Park in the NEC!
This is as young as you're ever going to be!

Yes I think it's worth it if you haven't been there before. It has some nice and unusual bikes in it's collection.

Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

Wonder if they'd get more visitors if it was a fiver. Being a tight git and money being a little on the tight side for a while, a 200 mile round trip, getting in, a brew and a butty I'm looking at £50 for the day........... Think I might have a ride to Blackpool.

I won a comp. in BSH about 18 years ago, entry to bike show at NEC and into museum plus a hotel overnight, met up in the hotel bar they told us to get what ever we wanted at thr bar and give their room number. so on the Sunday when we went to the bike museum I was just a bit hung over? that was before it was burnt down so don't know what it's like now? it was ok then but I wasn't paying for it?

I think it was 1982 when I went..... I expect it's changed a bit since then though. I keep meaning to go again but it's a bit of a distance from Hull..

If you are in the South the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum is great value for £7.50p. Very good cafe as well. Went there a few weeks ago as a birthday treat.

:\  Well Done Doddsey  .... that sure is the way to encourage guys to take part in things on this site .. NOT.

D4Delta was not shouting .. you can trust me on that point mate .. I'm deaf  :lol .    It's just that we are not all as up to speed on things like computers, fancy phones and fuel injection bikes as some other people (probably much younger people) might be.

Changing the Font .. (that's the words bit Dave  :o ) Size, Colour, Bold and so on might be 'really easy' for you .. but for some of us 'sad old farts' it's a risky job to do, if we don't need to .. damn things have a mind of their own  :eek

Might be nice to just read the words and take in what the guy is saying .. in my book he can shout as much as he likes really .. none of us can actually hear him .. can we  :\

Don't get the hump with me over this post buddy .. I'm just trying to put the other side to you. No Agro Required  Big Grin

Stay Safe  Wink  Trev    (The Polar Bear.  Mallorca)
