First proper ride since September last year (health issues, not cos I'm a fair weather boy!  :rolleyes) 1 hour and 45 non stop round some of my favourite roads trying out my new GoPro.

It's good to be back!  Big Grin

New rear rubber, and scrubbed in ready for the weekend  Big Grin

And another recommendation for Shell V-Power, by the mechanic/tuner, who said he'd run it on that all the time. So I will whenever convenient.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Had a bit of a brown trouser moment on the way in to work this morning.
Came off the M6, slowed down to hear and feel a horrible rattling through the whole bike. Definitely speed rather than rev related so i thought "Shit. Front sprocket's going."
Nursed it into the works car park and found the spring holding the centre stand had come off, so the noise was the stand dragging on the road.

Thank blue fuck for that!  Big Grin

The spring was still there and undamaged, so I've got to see where it connects to on the stand and see if that's bust. But for now a couple of cable ties will get me home.

UPDATE: Had a look in the daylight and the lug for the spring has rusted off, so cable-tied it back in place and will get the welder out tonight.
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

You've just reminded me of that road I enjoyed so much many years ago. Lived in East Devon/then Exeter 1963-73-my formative 2-wheel years. We always had a problemwith the holiday traffic although cages were slower in those far-off days & easier to get past! :eek :lol :lol

Couldn't wait,  so fitted new exhaust , had to drop some paperwork off the otherside of Bristol , so had a good excuse to try it out , nice throaty growl at tick over , sounds like a roar when you wind it up , lots of pops when you decelerate , really gives the bike some more character .

Yes it's quite bulky, I think the side pieces make it look worse, the mesh actually sits loose in the surround and let's air in around it, so far seems okay, hopefully as it's made by renntec they did some quality testing .
Went out today and did some traffic work and all seemed okay, but will certainly keep an eye on it, thanks
