stuck it back under both her covers as she's running rough,im guessing/hoping its just the K & N air filter that i fitted last week causing the engine to run rich/lean so ive ordered a genuine yamaha air filter and i'll fit that when i can next week :\
good job i wasnt coming to meet ya nog for the fender,id of had to come in the cage and pay a deposit at the bridge to get out again!! :lol
Rode it to cadwell park, had lunch, watched the trackday for a bit then rode home. 200 miles and 4 1/2 hrs saddle time. Life is good !!! (So was the weather!)
fitted some goodrigde hoses to the front brakes. with the hose going through the guide brackets on the forks it seemed to make the hoses crease when the suspension was compressed so just left them off does this matter??

MT-09 Tracer for those who no longer can handle a BIG boy Fazer
Took all my brake pads off, gave them and the calipers a good clean, regreased and back together again. Replaced one of the pad pins in the rear caliper.... £9.65 each from the local Yam man! Anyone know where to get them cheaper? The 03 screw in type?
Polished the 600 after washing it yesterday
Watched the world Superbike and world Supersport.
Went for a short spin of around 100 miles.
Forgot my camera so had to make do with the mobile phone camera :'(
Now back to watch the Moto2 and MotoGP
Ordered pair of tyres, chain & Sprockets , fork seals, dust caps & oil for mine, fitted a lowered seat and a Viper end can to brothers Fazer 600, and started to strip down sons ZXR 400 forks but allen key broke in the fork :eek :eek :eek
Managed to get out on the fazer for an hour late afternoon , past Chewvalley lake , Blagdon lake , up through Cheddar gorge , down through Burrington , back home along the A38 , needed that .
First off I got Liz's trail bike (Honda CRF 230 F) running and ready for it's MOT.
Then our next door neighbour knocked on the door and asked if my youngest wanted to go out for ride with him (neighbour has a 125 learner bike, just passed his CBT and needs some road practice). My niece was staying with us, so I decided to join them, with her on the back (on Liz's Fazer 1000) and youngest was on his FZS 600.
Because of the small bike, we stuck to some quiet back lanes around the Midlands (Coventry, over to Kettering, up to Leicester and return), stopped in for a cuppa at Leicester Airport - was good as it was busy with lots of small aircraft to watch from the Aero Club cafe - then back home.
We were out for just shy of 3 hours, lovely weather, lovely ride - niece thoroughly enjoyed the ride (cossetted in Liz's best Alpine Stars winter textile suit) - poor quality mobile phone pic below
Got bored and decided to chop the screen down on the gen II. Not sure about the shape (needs squaring off), and the mirrors look even more stupid than before!
