Help with frame tube diameter measurement please -
#1
Can anyone take a quick measurement for me of the frame tube diameter at around the front bottom of the frame, round about where the engine fixing bolts are? Could you also tell me if there is a few mm clearance behind the frame where a 'collar' could be fitted.

I'm due to collect my FZS from Cumbria on 7 April and will be riding it back to Germany a few days later (after a couple of days hooning around the Lakes and Dales, as it would be rude not to, being as how I'm over there anyway). I want to order some highway pegs for the long haul back (I suffer a lot from aches in the hip and knee if my legs are bent for long periods and think fold-down highway pegs will help with this on the long boring motorway bits). To do this in advance, I need to know what diameter the frame is at the approximate location I'd be looking to fit them. If I can order some I can fit them after I collect the bike but before returning to Germany.

Thanks in advance.

32mm.

You could possibly get something mounted there, but there are coolant pipes right in front to the frame which may causes issues.

Thanks RR, appreciate it. I'll maybe wait until I get the bike then first, because of the hoses. I'm in the UK for a week, so should be able to pick up some H pegs in that time if it looks a goer.
