Nick, Red pity you're going a week earlier than me, I'm off to Malta for my middle duaghters wedding and riding down and back, leaving the uk on the 23rd July getting to Malta on the 29th (via Sicily) and planning on getting home on 9/10th August.

Christo, think that for your own safety we'd better keep you away from anything that is powered  :lol

Very nearly got rear-ended by some prat who didn't notice the lights had gone red.  Luckily for me he missed me by about 6".  Unluckily for the woman on a Deuville who was just in front of me, he ran straight into the back of her :\  No-one hurt though but a few bruises on her bike.

Wow, definitely a close call... glad you and your bike escaped unharmed

Finally figured out what was wrong with the FJ, it kept hesitating on the throttle and chucking unburnt fuel out of the exhaust. I replaced the plugs, caps, coils, pick-ups still to no avail. I also replaces the 4-2 Neta system with a far sexier 4-1 Vance & Hines Megaphone from my old drag bike.

The problem was 2 knackered carb Diaphragms and the previous owner had stripped the thread on one of the pilot jets which kept working loose  :o .

Needless to say all this done and I knew it was fixed because the bars tried to smack my in the face the moment In opened the throttle in anger!  Big Grin Now to get started on the new subframe and tail unit.

Try to avoid doing it in your dressing gown and slippers though - perhaps a little note attached to the handle bars to remind you?  :fish

Filled a hole in the wall where there was once a door, moved a light switch and did some plastering. Also listened to the mutterings of Exup and some good rhythm and blues, chewed the cud and drank beer.
