what did you do with your fazer today ?
Changed spark plugs, oil/filter and air filter. Changed park lights for led's. Met some mates and had a few beers. My mrs did chain/ sprockets and made us all laugh loads. She was on form today :-)

Had fun on Friday late afternoon upper Jalon valley Costa Blanca. Tourists all gone home roads to myself. It was a bit cool but mostly dry roads. Damp patches under the trees and were the sun never got to.
Just love the Conti Road attacks I fitted a month or so back. The road surface here is really abrasive but super grip. Was talking to a mate and he reckons in winter time best to run a softer compound tyre on these roads as there is so much grip and come summer time when the road and ambient temperatures are high a harder compound tyre, what do you reckon. Personally I do not think I can out ride the compound mix of modern tyres.

Painted up the flaking engine with some Granville satin black engine paint and a little model paint brush.  In addition fitted a switched florescent tube light in the front bit of my garage so I could see what I was doing.

Rode it to work.

My gloves leak, and I've never found a way to stop rain getting at the cuff either.
My boots have always been about as waterproof as sandals, despite having (supposedly) a waterproof membrane.
It had been chucking it down all night and while I did find an optimistic weather forecast that said it might stop by lunchtime, it was still pissing down when I left for work this morning.
So the logical thing to do was take the car. Instead I taped carrier bags over my boots and rode in: fording streams and huge puddles, blinded by spray on the motorway and by the visor steaming up (yes, I know) as I diced with London traffic.
When I reached work, wet and uncomfortable, it took 45 minutes to wring everything out and find suitable places to hang soggy clothing in the hope it'll be dry-ish by the time I come to go home.
Yet I arrived happy. Whereas had I come by car I know I'd be irritable and depressed.

Balanced the carbs on me FZS600 and gave the chain a tweak.  Just waiting for non torrential rain / blowing a hooley day now.

Finally got to ride it properly today, after a whole month off it. Only took it round the block but it proves I can ride again.  Big Grin

I took mine in for a new chain, sprockets and a rear tyre.
Then when I picked it up I went for a quick 40 mile ride around the flooded Cheshire Countryside.

Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad
