ok, you got an idea of where (apart from just your sister's place) to go/route to ride?

Cheddar has some interesting roads, just go careful this time of year as its typically damp and the roads can get a little slippery Wink

Most of the roads around that area aren't half bad, including the A368 that goes past Blagdon Lake and the Chew Valley Reservoir. If you go through Cheddar, the A371 to Wells isn't too bad either - bit more fast paced but you're more likely to hit traffic - especially on a Sunday before Christmas Tongue

Just had the butler draw the drapes.  Seems that its raining despite "Accuweather" telling me all week that Sunday would be dry and sunny.  I was hoping to go for a run on it to Devils Bridge in the dry - I have now done over 1500 miles on it all in the wet Sad

That's fine, didn't stop me from heading out ^^

Took a ride out and mistakenly ended up on the wrong road back to Bristol - was going to head up the A38 past the Airport (going North) and the head East through Chew Valley, but it was still a good ride - didn't accumulate your sort of mileage though Tongue

Yes, me and Nick  met at Gloucester and rode the A38 down to Bristol,a bit of M5 and back onto the A38 to Cheddar, had a nose around, cup of coffee, lots of bikes down there in the gorge, cafes, tourist shops open, lots of folks about,,then rode down to M5 and back to Gloucester, just to get as close to home as possible in daylight.
Roads mostly damp, careful at roundabouts but riding was fine, bikes got dirty but it washes off. Smile

A fine ride out considering it was December the 8th.Not winter yet Smile
