If you were on your bike and a car had taken up the bike only bay, what would your reaction be????
Pissed off i would imagine.
Treat other as you would have them treat you.
If every one was a little bit nicer maybe we would all be nicer.

We pulled into sainsburys last Sunday in the car and the  sign said "FULL" so we drove round the car park back towards the exit and there were 7 empty disabled spaces. Just saying!!!

Ive thought this before

The number of disabled spaces is disproportionate to the numbers of disabled drivers using the areas.

I suppose the planners just though theyd look extra good by doing this, an extra little shake just to be sure before putting it back in their trousers.or maybe it's coz no matter how close you park, if your disabled & need to be that close then theres no foccin chance in hell of you actually being able to navigate the vast expanse of the supermarket, if you can get to the deli counter then you deserve an olympic medal, not a special space Wink

That aside though i do sympathise but not with those cars with kids ones...thats really taking the piss

Wont be long before heroin addicts have their own spaces i reckon
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

I don't see why people are bashing on the planners here, I really appreciate those hatched spaces provided for motorbikes between each disabled space!

Slightly off topic but what pi55's me of is when your looking for a parking spot avoiding the d/bay's and some one in a flash BMW or Audi parks up sticks their blue badge up on the windscreen then jumps out the car and runs across the car park ! !

or you see a blue badge car being loaded by some one that's just walked across the car park carrying 15 bags loaded with shopping !

So if you had a badge for your partner (for argument sake) would you use it if you were on your own and the car park was full?

I wouldn't, and indeed never did, when my wife had a blue badge. You risk them having the badge taken off them, as well as a fine...

I would say No I wouldn't as well !
Parking were I live is a night mare  and made worse by people taking the pi55,
Our high street looks like a car park at times and there is no access from 10am till 6 pm that why the cars all park on the path  brats on moped screaming up the road and the police stand a watch !

While on this subject let me have a little rant about people who park in the pick-up bay while they just nip into the store. For 20 minutes or so  :wall  .
Also those who think it's o.k. to park in the spaces showing a push chair because they have a strapping teenager with them  :eek . The extra space in those spots allows room to get a little child out without knocking the car next to it.
On second thoughts I don't want a stroppy teenager flinging the door open next to me in the ordinary parking bays either.  :\
Rant over and I feel much better now  Smile .

I think selfishness a bit unfair since he clearly remained with the vehicle and I'm sure if not for the attitude he would have moved aside for a polite request. Just my thought.
That said Disabled bays should be left for the disabled. Unlike those parent toddler bays that seem to be multiplying like rabbits in supermarket car parks which imho are fair game if other spaces are not available.

I have seen before, badge holders not parking in the empty bay, but in a "normal" space and still put their badge in the screen.
I should run out ranting at them really about taking up abled parking spaces  :grumble

Too right......
