Samsung Galaxy Mini -Caller Volume Issue
#1
On the off chance someone has/is experiencing the same silly problem with this phone. I can't hear callers when they ring my phone, after having a Google I see that I'm not the only one. I've tried the most promising solution which is using a service code to access settings but the audio setting is tagged 'Audio Blocked'. Definately a firmware problem -and I'm all up to date on those. Anyone?

Thats very odd, one of my Samsung solid extremes has decided to only ring at low volume,so when i ring my employee he does not hear it.

Dont think its the same problem ,just similar

I have the S4 mini and the problem I have is that the ring volume isn't night enough. Volume in the ear is fine when in a call though.

Someone told me to root the operating system, I'll then have full control of the damn thing, apparently. I've no idea how to do this but will Google it.
Has anyone else rooted their phone?

root your phone and use the clockwheel method to reflash your firmware.

Ive done it on my previous phone, my HTC sensation XL (android based too so the process should be more or less the same). Admittedly I rooted and reflashed to allow me to get an unavailable firmware upgrade, not for some sort of error, but i dont imagine that will make a difference.

look on the XDA developers forum, you will likely get a stepbystep method to both root and reflash the firmware Smile

If your not sure I would leave it though, you can brick your phone when you do this.
