![]() It don't look great but you'll be able to handle the power. Also, you will be ok to look behind without worry when poppin the engine :-)

Dunno what sort of mofo batteries that thing is packing, but must be something special seeing as they've deemed it necessary to equip it with wheelie bars! :eek

Plus, that's the only roadworthy thing I have at the moment, and call me sentimental, but I'd rather have that than peanuts for it. :rolleyes I have a plan b if all else fails: a friend is selling a CB750 in parts as a project bike. If I go back to France, I'll buy it, do it up, and sell it. Hell, I might do that as well! Thanks for the input Yamazer. I'll remember that, especially as I've seen SV650 33bhp kits on the Eebs too. ![]() Exup - I call dibs on fitting a 600cc engine to that! :lol On a final note: I do want to get back on the road, but I haven't been back on a bike since the big smash up. And while there's nothing I'd like more than to hop on a bike, I'm pretty apprehensive. I've not been able to ride out the angst, or even work it out by fixing up the bike, so I have 2 months of beating myself up, and endless internal replays of what happened sitting in my belly. Last time I put on the blue leather jacket I was wearing on the day (about 3 weeks ago), I felt physically unable to wear it. I suspect a minor panic attack (or summat). And to boot, I still have the insurance thing hanging over me. I still don't know what's happening on that front. Lots of shit. Lots of things to work out.

What ever bike u choose to get chris please just TAKE IT EEEZY!!! You have had more incidents in 1 year of biking than I've had in 25. Something has to change fella. YOUR ATTITUDE ME THINKS.

If you're still restricted Christo I'd definitely +1 on the SV. They are a bit slower than the Fazer but restricted it'll be about the same top speed, and will probably accelerate a bit quicker - it's got shorter gearing ratios and also more low down punt than the Fazer does, and that low down isn't changed by the restriction.
I sure as hell wouldn't have one myself now I'm not restricted as I miss the top end rush you get on IL4s (particularly bigger ones which is why I'm wanting another big bore sports bike), but they do handle well and engine wise will be fine for you!

Lots of good suggestions on here, Divvys, CB500s, SVs, Bandits etc would all fit the bill nicely. Talking from personal experience, I had a black 01' GPZ500 and it was surprisingly rapid, and it took well to the 33bhp restriction. Looked decent in that colour too and was cheap to run.
Had a Honda Bros 400, nice little bike, and insurance was dirt cheap. Might be a little small for you physically but could be a cheap but nice stop gap option?

The honda bros is a fantastic little bike but soooo uncomfortable fer my size and therefore christo's aswell. Same for super 4 and cb1. I reckon the sv would tick all the boxes. Cheap to buy and run with a little low down poke and possibly cheaper to insure havin only 2 cylinder. (Not sure on that last point tho)

Just to throw another idea out there I have always quite fancied one of these as well (I want too many bikes), I think they look and sound badass and have brilliant reviews. Never actually seen one up close though and have heard they're a bit small but so cheap to buy, run and insure. My SR 125 was smaller and reasonably comfortable legs wise and was pretty fun for what it was. I may get one on the cheap one day as a spares / repair and do it up.

Worried now, especially as I'd have to trust someone else to check it for me... :\
