??????????????...Don't usually get involved in controversial subjects but as someone who works hard for my little luxuries in life I've  gotta say Tex, if someone stole my bike and Luke was showing bits off it on here, I wouldn't be as laid back as you. I'd be asking Luke where he got them from...I make no apologies for this comment in advance. Real bikers don't steal bikes, they ride them.

I'm with dazza, I'd want answers from the seller to start with.

Tex, if that's true this is the address you need for the seller.

Ok dazza I don't like the comment before you know the facts so fook off
Tex if you think otherwise ring me 07736008778
To my knowledge bike was stolen recovered and sold via a breaker
Because of dazza's comment I have contacted police and given them what I know

If this turns out to be stolen goods then you will lose them.....I take it Tex got his insurance and the breaker will have a record of who he got the bike from and also who he sold them too. I'd be surprised if the insurance company/police didn't contact Tex to say the bike had been recovered...smells a bit this one....but it could all be legit
#13
My own Opinion !

I think this should be done vai PM until its resolved if this is stolen goods then posting about them on an open forum could hinder any police investigation
if this was a stolen recovered bike then some one is being tar with a stolen goods lable unfairly !

I think this should be removed until such time as its resolved
it would be great if we could have feed back as to the outcome once sorted tho !

this is unfair on devilsyam........bike recovered, insurance paid out, bought by breaker, parts bought by devilsyam......all legit.....why are people thinking otherwise  :eek

I don't know Devilsyam but from what I have read on here (help advice positive comments from forum menbers etc) he seems a top bloke, I don't think he has done (or would) do anything wrong or illegal .

Ok, first, im not pointing any fingers at anyone on here, we all like a ebay bargain, but do we really know where the goods came from? the bike was stolen in june, and has not been recovered,i far as i know,  i was paid out by insurance last month, Luke you did not know the stuff was stolen, so no blame on you. ebay is a minefield . Ill leave it like that before it turns into a slagging match.

It seems to me, that anyone who reads into the op, any sense of wrongdoing, needs to have a word with themselves.

If luke had knowingly bought stolen goods, he'd have to be pretty fucking stupid to come on here and advertise the fact. Now I've never met the bloke, I know he's a fine engineer, but of course that doesn't exclude stupidity. So just to clear that aspect up - luke, are you "pretty fucking stupid"? Nah, didn't think so.

If he suspected they might be stolen, then he might come and ask, in case there might be a chance of a conviction if it could be proved what bike they were from - but as soon as that's the case, it's a matter for the police, and somebody posting a sellers address on here, is bang out of order. He might have also bought in good faith, he might have bought from the insurance company, if tex had already been paid off for the theft.

Shed loads of irresponsible posting on this thread!

Cross posting - I see tex had been paid out - so a matter for the police as it's not recovered... Like I said, have a word with yourselves...
