"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - strawberries in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming - WOO HOO! What a Ride!"
Noggy, I've spent all day pulling down walls and digging up tree roots with a digger. Ooh arr! Now buy stuff! :lol
CRH: No idea on the chain, to be fair. It was on the bike when I got it, although I suspect pretty new. I reckon 6,000 miles old then. It seemed in good nick, no noticeable tight spots and no kinks, oiled and cleaned regularly etc. It was nowhere near the wear limit. If you twist my arm, I'll part with it for £10.
Lawrence: YES, I do have the derestriction kit lurking in my box 'o bits. I may rob the restrictor kit from the bike and sell it separately, as they're worth quite a few ££s. The restrictor is thicker jets, beefier springs, and plates ON TOP of the diaphram.
Jamie: Tyre sizes are standard Fazer: 110/10 ZR17 front, 160/60 ZR17 rear. Pilot Road 3s. I believe I mentionned £120 for the pair?

Well it cost me over £300 to have the bloody thing made in the first place (about half of my summer earnings), it was going to be towing 150kgs of trailer across the UK, through half of Europe and home to France - a journey of 1500kms, with a REALLY long run on the last day (700kms, going from south Holland, through Belgium to Brittany). It's built to last, and I need to make something back on it now the Fazer's gone tits up. Especially as the bike was going to pay for transport to and from the US, not to mention contributing to a vehicle/insurance while over there. And what with the excess to pay etc - I'm broke. I have worked a crap job all summer, and thanks to this, I have LOST money. No profit, AND I no longer have a bike to sell.
Pre crash, the bike stood at about £1600 (I was going to respray it, and sort out a few gremlins prior to the sale). So far I've made £25. Woot bloody woot.
If the towbar doesn't sell, I'll keep it back. Fuck knows why, I doubt I'll be back on bikes, let alone a Fazer if my parents and the insurance company have anything to say about it. :'( :'( :'(
yea feel for ya matey?...you never get back what it costs to begin with though?....from what i can see you askin?...its not realy over the top!..but cant realy see you getin 200 for towbar :rolleyes ....you know what it cost you but nobody will realy care what you paid and will want it for next to nowt?...be a classic one day though!! 8)

You havent given me a price on those manky calipers yet Cristo. :b
Big ££££
Or little ££££££ ????????
& will you sell them individually???
The callipers aren't manky! I'll sell you the pair for £40, with the pads, and that's cheap!
Individually, the second's harder to sell, ergo £25 each.

Deal!, ill have them both....plus you get the added bonus of me buggering off :lol
Pm me your details & ill paypal you the funds.
Cheers Cristo, always a pleasure! 8)
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
Couple of questions about the seat:
Is the seat height on a boxeye really higher than the later seats? If so I'm keen on it.
And does the £30 include postage? If not could you get a price for postage to Coventry?
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

Seat height is the same as on the Foxeye. For postage, ask Mr RED.
evening all......ok ,not done as much as i had hoped tonight, bike is off the trailer and on centre stand with the front propped up with a block of wood.....thats all i have done :o ...iam old,i know iam old,iam also wet through, this has nothing to do with me being old,..........yes its pissing down again,bugger............anyway the tyres look good,no damage and nicely scrubbed in ...the chain is indeed well lubbed and mid-way on the adjusters,it is very tight though so i guess the wheel is out of alignment as a result of the accident...think it will be ok.....now the bikes on the stand removing the wheel and chain will be easy and if its not raining i will do tomorrow evening..oh, the chain has a soft link which i shall use to break the chain....if its still raining iam going to give noah a hand with his boat
