Almost got sideswiped by a Range Rover coming out of a side road. I was doing 30mph and the doddering old twat even made eye contact with me before pulling out!
Go to say that swerve manoeuvre in the Mod 1 has proved its worth!
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.
Decided the weather was too good to sit here working, so I went for a run up the Morestead Road to Winchester and back along the A272 to Loomies to practice my right hand bends
Although, annoyingly, I got stuck behind traffic on the Esses and Cottage Corner (for those who know them)

Sun out, day off, Nice ride out from Essex, into Suffolk, Norfolk and home again, still getting to know the bike, couple of stops for a sticky bun and a cup of tea, found some nice quiet roads ,plenty of long sweepers, country lanes about as good as it gets, Tyres run in, bike wiped over and clean, Dinner and an ice cream, jobs a good un !
Stripped and lubed the EXUP Valve, had to tap out one of the holes as someone has been hamfisted fitting it last time! All done, just to make sure it still works now!
fitted a braided goodrigde hose to the rear of the 600. was supposed to be fitting new pads too, but it looks as though ive either had the wrong ones sent, ordered the wrong ones, or the previous owner has fitted a different rear caliper (it looks right though so probably A or B).
Hopefully get a dry couple of hours and get the front two lines fitted. then tomorrow ive got an oil change and K&N oil filter to go on.
Getting pissed off trying to figure out why the alarm was beeping every 3 minutes.
Everything worked fine, it armed/disarmed ok, went off ok, nothing was wrong with it except for this annoying beep. I've been pulling my hair out for a week trying to find why it was doing it.
Err yeah, in a pile of shit in my garage next to the bike there was a smoke alarm warning me of its low battery. :o

managed to get my oil and filter changed during a break in the weather there (even though i had to hammer a screwdriver through the old filter to get the bastid off!). just got my front braided lines to do in the morning now

All part of the fun Mick , did you replace with a K&N to save yourself the fun next time?, you could save the fun up for something else even more fun then :b

I did actually :lol much handier having that nut on there. also followed the haynes book of lies and put the bike on the side stand instead of the centre stand as my instincts told me to. this meant the oil came straight out and ran down the sidestand onto my drive instead of into the catch pan as well, so I got to spend an hour cleaning my drive afterwards too. lucky me :rollin

he he, yep that's exactly the same fun i had, thought i could just crack open the plug & it would gently flow out, nope! the plug fell out & oil pissed everywhere & all my poxy little funnels filled up & overflowed straight away :'( , same story when i changed the coolant.
