Exhaust port headers?
#1
Not sure of the exact term for them, but I'm talking about the connection between the exhaust outlet and the exhaust headers.

Mine are looking pretty rusty and corroded, I was looking at getting them replaced, any recommendations?

If the exhaust collars are corroded badly, chances are the studs and nuts aren't too clever, either. Sad

Thousands of these in breakers yards, though.  Failing that, new from Yamaha dealer as I don't know of any pattern part replacements.  Use stainless dome nuts on the studs, too. Smile

If you don't want to lose the exup then you will have to fit an original system, If your exup is no good and you are not worried about it there is a pattern down pipes for the thou, there is one for sale In the sale section, that system is a 4-2-1 rather than the 4-1 as original, that pipe will give an improvement in the midrange so should help to replace some of the power lost because of the lack of an exup valve.

I would be wary of fitting the Sandy Spares headers and would perhaps do some more research before going this route e.g.;

Given the choice IMHO you would be better off with a decent used replacement set.

Thanks, might try breakers yards first as that sounds like the cheapest route :-)
