Fitted the upgraded front sprocket nut and tab washer. Changed the spark plugs and trimmed the HT leads at the plug caps.
Its great to have the bike back on the road again especially in this weather :lol

Ridden up to Carlisle yesterday, saw some family, then made my way back through the lakes trying to hit them all before coming home on the M6.. Some beautiful roads that way.

Fitted a new set of front brake pads. Decided to go with SBS as per some of the advice on here. Will have to see how i get on with them.

Don't forget to bed those pads in - 50 miles or so of taking it easy on them, allow extra stopping room until settled.

I had a great ride up to an event up in Epsom but after it finished I came out of the venue to find that some idiot had knocked over my bike in the car park
![]() They'd obviously picked it up and presumably decided "oh well, there isn't any obvious damage, so let's not bother going into the venue and finding out who it belongs to or leaving a number, we'll just bugger off..." Fortunately there wasn't any serious damage, the mirror didn't break and the clutch lever was just pushed out of position (not bent) the gear lever was fine too, but there could have been damage which they didn't know to look for (eg they might have bent the handlebars) and which they'd have been liable for fixing. Regrettably the place where I parked wasn't in view of the CCTV and since I was there for almost 6 hours it's probably not going to be possible to find out who did it ![]()

At least you got away with it. Would have been a nice courtesy for them to leave a note with a contact no., but I guess that's people for you...

Rode down to H's Café, had a natter with a few people, snapped some piccies (see Get Yer Photies Out). Then went to Oxford city centre to have a coffee and watch the world (read pretty women in short skirts!) go by in the sunshine. Oh Nick, you old pervert!
Hooked up with Exupnut and rode slowly between Margate and Brighton. Exup stayed in Brighton so he could go to a club called The Blue Lagoon later... I headed back to North Kent fighting my way through all the BSB traffic. Top day out!
Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."
