Curious as to what Fazer riders would choose if you couldn't have a Fazer, money no limit. Wonder if there'll be any kind of consensus, perhaps what led us all to buy Fazers. Or will everyone's choices be different?
To make it a little more interesting - one bike only; but discuss possibilities discarded along the way to your choice.
This is going to be the bike you must live with from day to day, so think carefully...
Just to prompt you to think a little more carefully - this is going to be the bike you have to live with from day to day...if you can fit the Bimota into your "lifestyle" (and I shudder to use that word!) Stevie, then OK. Will edit the question accordingly.
dream bike for me is an FJR1300, comfort, reasonably fast, I like the looks. winner. insurance is crippling for me though so Ill have to wait a few years yet.
I only bought the Fazer last year so I know what I would have gone for instead. My plan was to buy a cheap (about £1000) bike. It didn't really matter what it was because the plan was to trade it in the next year for a different £1000 bike. Rinse and repeat until I got bored.
I'd still like to do that but right now, I'm enjoying the Fazer too much!
I have also discovered that what I really need is a bike for commuting, for twisty roads on Sundays and for longer holidays. Not sure what I would get to cover those three bases!
Good question. The honest answer is that I don't know for sure at this stage, but if weren't allowed to test ride an FZS 1000 (to compare to my 600) then I'd take an XJR 1300 out instead.
I like the character, and it looks comfy which is really important for me.
I understand it's maybe not much of a sports bike, but so long as it's still fun to ride through the twisty bits.
I'd need to add some fairing for the motorway miles involved in any serious touring.

Re-read the question Christo. Have edited it slightly, but it already said no Fazers!
Replace Fazer Thou with either an XJ6, or maybe a TBM900.

Would love to see a picture of a TBM900 :lol
Me, I guess MV Agusta Tamburini, but would always keep the Fazers
Well, I don'r ride as hard as I'd like to on the Fazer (I run out of tyre round corners), so a sportier bike would allow me to do that. Maybe a CBR600F2?
I think of my new Ace just as a sporty superfazer. Its engine response is very similar, just much stronger. Its good as an all-round bike and it has exactly the same handlebar's switches, footpegs and indicators.
