Hello from sweden
#1
Hello everybody
I just bought a FZS 1000 -02 and I have a GPZ 900r -88.
My experience with the GPZ is that it is good to have some one to talk to and also help others when something goes wrong.
But that is hardly the case with Fazer, they just go one fore ever  Wink
I'm from Sweden and there I live in a house with my wife and two teenage daughters.
When you have 2 teenage daughters the only sanctuary you have is the garage.
I prefer to do so much I can by my self regarding maintenance and rebuilding my bikes.
My professional background is: Tool maker, service engineer , project leader, service manager, and now I work as a production manager.
Now you know a little about me.

Is there more from Sweden here?

Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."

I can handle hillbillies  Wink  and are not that easily scared.
I will post photos on the bikes when I have taken the pictures of them.
Here in Sweden there is summer vacation now and I try to do that tomorrow.
I do not think my daughters will be on those photos  :evil

Both beautifully clean and shiny - a credit to you. Wish I could keep mine as clean as that. That's a really good photo of the GPz too.

Thanks
I try to keep them shiny.
The GPZ looks god for a  25 years old bike.
I have spend some winters hours' in the garage to make it look that way.
Now I am trying to sell GPZ because I don't have the space in the garage for two bikes.
My thinking whit Fazer is that I need to spend less time in the garage and ride more.
If I know my self well so in the winter will I spend some time in the garage tuning the Fazer.
Its hard to wait al winter for spring time and only watching the bike in the garage.

It'll be a shame to let that GPz go, less and less good ones around. Still, values are rising (used to be just A1/2 models that fetched good money, but all are getting interest these days), you should be able to get a decent amount for it in that condition.

Here in Sweden we have had a sunny summer with hardly any rainfall.
It's been perfect motorcycle weather.
How has it been in Finland and England?

In England we are in a mid heat wave and it was back on 1976 when that last happened  :\  Any how us Brits usually dwell in a moist climate where the sun plays hide and seek.

Some members (sorry bikers) are fair weather rides where its a national game of peaky boo with the custard pie in the sky. Then there are those who just jump on their steed regardless of climatic change. Personally I love riding in the cold where England excels. But I can say in 99% of cases those who ride are great individuals and only turn into a hooligan on two occasions, those been new boots on their steed and when on this forum.

Welcome Hg

It's been a beautiful summer for the most part here too. Just only recently it's been raining relatively more, but they've promised better weather again starting this weekend.  Smile
