Chain cleaned and re-lubed and new front sprocket fitted - running so much smoother now and no more nasty knock at 40mph Tongue

Yep, it's the only bike I have (at the moment).

just back from a very wet and windy long weekend run round the Highlands and Skye with Boxer1 and another Fazer owning mate and some others .. Surprisingly we did get a 10 mile respite in the weather at Eilean Donan Castle where it got dry so a good excuse for a photo lineup..
Boxer1's the Blue 'un, mines the Silver and Robbies yellow one.. great fun had by all despite the weather.. decided too I could do with a Baglux, the top box and side winds don't agree with each other

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Went out for a 20-odd mile run with an instructor. Learnt loads and really enjoyed the ride. Weather was great. Fazer was flawless (and much-admired).

Today was a good day.

Rebuilt my repainted rear brake caliper with new seals and shiny polished pistons. Tomorrows job to refit it to bike with new braided brake line and bleed the system. Then put rear wheel back on and I'm almost done!  8)

Jobs left to do after that are fit silicone coolant pipes, refill coolant and then when I can run the bike I'll warm it up and change the oil/filter.

Waiting to see if postman brings my braided brake lines, ordered 27/04,but with two weekends & Bank Holiday to slow things down. Yesterday friend rode over on his newly restored 22 yr old H***a CG 125 & we went for a ride out-it was that warm later, stuck in traffic, that I noticed my fan is working-saved me checking with jumper leads. Have owned 600 for a month and done 500 miles-most enjoyable! :lol

Had a chance to work on bike again for a while today and remembered to get a few pictures too! Mainly to prove to Noggy that I do have a bike! haha! In the pics you can see repainted forks black, both wheels powder coated gloss black, rebuilt rear caliper with new seals, repainted rear caliper/bracket/stay bar, hel braided brake line for rear, cleaned lower frame behind belly pan and cleaned the chain. Still got to fit new exhaust and silicone coolant pipes but that can wait until the new pipes arrive, hopefully next week!  8)  Much happier now it's got two wheels on again! haha!

Went to try and grind the valves on my other engine but found the lapping tool too large... so went for a 90 minute ride instead before finally ending up at a Halfrauds and getting one that will fit :lol

Aha the Blue Beast from the North East.....a rarer sighting than the loch ness monster, did its foxeyes squint when the light finally entered its eyes. Confusedun
Lookin tidy Chris, & extremely clean!...have you used one of those steam cleaners off the morning tv advert?, i do like a clean bike & mine is covered in nature at the moment. :\
I also like the black forks that you and Ponkster have got, looks like they were meant be like that out the factory.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Hahaha! Cheers Noggy.

Hopefully it'll get used to seeing the daylight, or at leasty as much as I do, for the rest of the summer now that it's (almost) back on the road! Been a busy winter for the old fazer but looking a lot healthier now. I've used many potions and grease of many elbows but thank god it's almost done! Exactly a month until the simmer dim rally so plenty time to sort the finishing touches and get a run or two in before that. Need to scrub in my new front tyre before I go on the rally rides! haha!

Ye, I'm really pleased with the black forks, glad I sprayed them instead of spending the time polishing them. Much prefer it to the silver, especially as the silver painted had bubled and flaked on the front faces. Can't wait to fire it up once I get the last coolant pipes fitted and coolant topped up.

Went to fit my nice new braided lines and came to realise that my rear caliper needs a major overhaul as both pistons are seized. One is moving ever so slightly and the other is completely jammed Sad

Time to try and find some genuine seals and spend more money Sad
