Chap on Ebay recons his low mileage (35,000?) has ABS fitted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330912460071?s...1438.l2649
Looks a bit iffy to me but I could be wrong...

Looks a bit of a shambles but according to him "It's a really good bike"... £10 says it's been down the road, and not on it's wheels...
No, it won't have ABS.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.
Its definatly been down on the left side. I would be asking why all the pics are of this left/off side. In my experiance you will find out when viewing only. For the asking price there are better out there that you do not have to put together or buy parts for. I is with Chris on this one.

Mine's much better than that even with the 40,000 miles it's done. Also note it's located in "Winbledon"! I smell a rat (bike!) :rolleyes
Yes, the english throughout the advert isn't great... It really puts me off buying something if the advert is full of spelling/grammer mistakes. If someone isn't able to string a sentence together to try and sell something then I always wonder how well they have looked after/maintained the advertised object.

That generator cover looks immaculate... a bit too good considering the rest of the bike. Just my opinion.
What's hanging between the carbs ?
I looks good if you can get it cheap to strip, for spares or as a project but I wouldn't ride it unless I looks a lot better IRL than in the pictures.
What's with the seat too ? Looks like blue gaffer tape or sumfink.
Opinions are like A**holes, Everyone has one. Some people seem to have more than one though which is a bit odd.
Nice clutch lever!!
Do love the claim of a new chain as well.

Not sure how someone's grasp of the English language has to do with how they look after a bike? :lol

To come back to the OP....
If it *was* ABS, there would be rotation sensors on the front discs - look at any new bike. The discs there are stock. Ergo, no ABS. Unless it only has it on the rear, which I highly doubt.

If someone can't be bothered to put the effort in to advertise something, which is worth a chunk of money, properly then I have reservations as to how much effort they put into their "pride and joy". Maybe it's just me being old fashioned?
The pictures, combined with my above statement, in this case also point me in this direction. It being a "great bike" but there is no mention of the crash it's clearly had...

Basically the advertisement does not give a true reflection of the state of the bike. As it states if mirrors are only £50 then why do they not purchase them then build the bike back up to get the asking price that is obviously unrealistically high.
In my opinion its a piece of crap that has not been looked after or it would be in a drive away condition.

That's our very own "reillypadraig"...
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines...
Missed this thread (work) and Ebay ad ended, but showed it as a 2002 bike, thus no ABS. ABS was an option from 2006 (ie, the R6-powered FZ6 bikes).
