Can't imagine it would be wise, this is the internet, there's enough people out there that piss in their diesel and claim higher mpg and smoother running.
know loads of people who do it and it has no adverse effects and not a great deal but it does have a little positive effect, as long as you only use it once every 4 fill ups its a cheap way of keeping the jets and filters on diesels free of soot as the new diesel we buy doesnt have the natural additives it used to have so it does fowl these a bit mor than it used to
"Dont confuse my personality with my attitude My personality is who I am. My attitude depends on who you are..."
Get it remapped, that's one way of saving fuel. It worked on my last two diesels. My freelander did 31mpg average, with a remap/tuning box, it now does 39mpg average, and drives a lot better.

Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!
Google BG244 gets very good reviews and there does seem some science behind it and the tests

ive heard that about the unleaded but only through winter usage as it aids starting , the thing with using a bit of 2 stroke it suppose to keep the soot levels down too so the particulate filter in the exhaust pipe dosent clog up so much, this week after considerable non usage i was getting around 40-43 mpg now after putting the egr blocking plate on, partially cleaning the air filter its a k@n i didnt have the cleaning stuff and using the 2 stroke oil once ive jumped up to 48 mpg so ill keep on using it till the bottle runs out then i keep ya all posted
