It would be a cracking start on the Fazer ladder!! looks like she has been cherished!! As for the downpipes on a foxeye.. I can confirm they are stainless on the pipes and yes they do rot on the collector... hence why the Beast now has shiny pipes and is going on the Dyno this windy morning!!  Big Grin

Adrian ... chillax  Wink
No point in getting stresses, in my many years of stressing out I have finally come to realise that if you don't get something you were hoping to get, more often than not, you end up with something better.
There are plenty of nice bikes around so don't panic  Smile

If it has been well looked after there is a good chance that the tape is on the rear plastics to prevent scuffs from either carrying a pillion or from 'throw overs'.

You just need to make sure it isn't masking any cracks  Wink
Yamaha Fazer 'the only bike you'll ever need' maybe ???

Good luck with it! If you can find someone that knows a bit about bikes to go along with you bring them with you. A second pair of eyes always helps for picking up things.

That blue foxeye looks the one to me, nice BMW R1200S in that pic too. The silver one at Viva Moto has been there a while so you might get a few quid off.
It will be OK in the end. If it's not OK, it's not the end.
