Hugger

What am I missing??!!  Hugger I bought from flea-bay - described as fitting 1998 - 2002 Fazer FZS600. I can't see how the right hand side is meant to secure though    Help!!!

Advert is wrong, there's no such thing as a hugger for 98-2002, as the Mounting points changed in 2000.

If the hugger you have is for the opposite one, compared to your bike, it ain't going to fit... Sorry :-\

its difficult to see the detail in your pic, but heres a pic of my pyramid hugger fitted to my 02 foxeye

Well it doesn't look like the holes are in the same place as the foxeye hugger so it should fit the box eye fine

Does anyone have a pic of the other side? The chain side looks fine its how to mount it on the other side I'm worried about...
Gonna try and upload the other pic I have from my phone. The hugger is just held above the bike for this pic, not on the wheel/under the seat...

Thats very weird... It should bolt underneath the guide for the rear brake line. (As in, take the guide off, place hugger, and replace the guide and bolt through the hugger).

Looks a bit as though there's been some aftermarket bodging gone on with that hugger  :eek

This is a pyramid  hugger on my 01 fzs 600. Just needs a simple `L` shaped bracket making to fix behind the hugger.

I guess it varies by manufacturer. There is no single way to make a hugger. I have to admit I prefer mine, the other looks like a fix by "Botchit and Scarper"

On the plus side though, the op should be able to manufacture a bracket easy enough to replace the missing bit.... Pain in the arse, but better than starting from scratch....

Aye, a bit of aluminium, tin snips and a drill,  a couple of rivets and job done :-)

:eek A fix by botchit and scarper :eek  , charming!!   I prefer the little bracket to having the plastic of the hugger running along the top of the swing arm.

Thanks for the replies guys. Part of me is tempted to send it back to the guy and say it must be for the 2002 model just on principle, but it was cheap enough and it's in really good nick, so...


This looks like my best option.
