This morning I was woken up because my beloved had been knocked down in the street, she is going to be laid up for a few weeks while she is on the mend. £490 bill for the damaged parts to be replaced, in 50,000 miles she had never been on her side until this morning.. The driver of the car was very helpful and has given me the money to repair her so it doesnt have to go through the insurance so I am glad for her honesty and for being so understanding in this difficult time. :'( :'( :'( :'(
Bloody hell! its now going through insurance so it'll be ages before it's sorted! my bike was parked and I was in bed asleep at the time! her parents are more concerned about the scuff on the car as opposed to the foccing motorbike she dragged down the road!!! and she couldnt drive off as my side stand had latched onto her bumper! I really hope they dont write it off!! Pretty angry again now.
Just phoned bikesure to get it sorted and it will all go through their insurance, in the mean time i'm borrowing a pan european 1100 to commute and i have to say it's like a big comfy armchair lol
I thought she'd given you the money?
Similar sort of thing happened to my workmate, a young woman did a u-turn on him on his GSX600 near work, admitted liabilty straight away and said they would pay cash for the damage (her mum was the passenger).
A week later and the mum said it was her that was driving and it was his fault? :rolleyes
He never got a penny out of it.
What sort of damage are we talking about on your bike?
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.
All sorted her insurance company called and have given me £620 to fix my bike. It's a bent exhaust and some scuffs on the engine case bar ends and mirrors. Obviously the bill was done by genuine parts and fitted at dealer
Blimey, you don't hang about do you.......
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.
That was quick! Which insurance company?
Ha ha no I like things sorted fast and the company they were with is admiral, I'm with bikesure who I have to say were a delight to talk to, they listen and understand the pain of your love going under a vauxhall meriva
Of all the crap cars, it has to go under a Vauxhall.
Im surprised the fairing wasnt damaged, those things seem to be crack magnets in an accident.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
