I don't think so... biertijd.com is a Dutch website. I didn't see enough, but by the looks of it, the rider is Dutch police. Had he been merely wearing a shirt, there would a) be no shirt, and b) a lot more red! Looks like he's wearing leather trousers too. Who wears leather trousers but no jacket?

As for the speed bump, one does not expect one's bike to do that! He wasn't even going that fast either...

I have seen this type of thing a few times when i used to race motorcross..

When approaching a bump you need to be on the throttle, if you shut it off you put all the weight up front..

Saying that thou i dont think this would of helped him on a bike like that over big bumps at speed :eek

That seems like a poorly designed speed bump, I've been over a few fcukers like that in my cage.  The entry angle of the bump looks too sharp and the bump itself too short.

The second biker who has cut 90% of his speed still looks jolted as he goes over it.  Killer bump.  Certainly does what it says on the tin.

I've found the best way to handle speed bumps is to stand on the pegs, though I don't know if that is accepted practise or not.  It certainly wouldn't have saved that poor sod.

On bumpy terrain I remember what my instructor always said "bottom tight, top loose" - this basically translates into "hold on foccin tight with your legs and keep your arms loose"

I don't think so.  I reckon it was the speed.  Like hitting a kerb on a bicycle at full whack  :lol


The extra weight at the back certainly didn't help though  :eek
