WANTED - Radiator for 1999 FZS600 5DM
#1
In need of a radiator for 1999 FZS600 5DM.

Cosmetic condition not important, but obviously needs to be water tight and fully functioning.

Can you help please?

Hi, I may have one for you. It's from my fire damage thread (see further on in this forum). Radiator should have survived intact and if cosmetic condition isn't of huge concern then its your for the postage cost. Or if you are nearby (Chelmsford, Essex) then you are welcome to come and collect. Photos should be in the other thread ("FREE FZS 600 - Fire Damage"). There were no leaks at all when I was running the bike and apart from some minor muck from the roads it was in relatively good condition...

Oh blimey mate, that's a sorry sight. Very sorry to see that.

The radiator looks fine for my needs thanks, getting a crashed bike back together to make sure it's running right before it becomes my project bike.

I could also use the following if available:

Engine cases (the main one I need is the front right one, starter cover I think, but I see someone else already asked for that).
Right side footrest assembly.
Right side passenger footrest assembly.

Happy to pay more than postage, in fact I'd feel bad if I didn't. Do you want to PM me your email address for PayPal, or alternatively your address for a cheque? I'm in Jersey, so post is the only way really.

Hi, sorry for not posting back sooner had a very busy day Confused

I'll double check the radiator in the morning to make sure as I dont want to send you something useless :p You are correct that the side casings have already been collected already. Footpegs are still around but I'll check to see if the master cylinder survived but markbubbles might be in better condition.

No worries Dead Eye.

Like I said condition is unimportant. I just want to get the bike road worthy again so I can check that it's OK before I proceed with the project. I'll be changing the footpegs anyway so they will be fine for purpose.

Hey Ruby, some bad news I'm afraid Sad

I got the radiator off this morning and it wasn't in great condition but still usable. However, as I mentioned previously, the contractor has started work on the garage (which the bike is behind) and sometime around lunch the garage collapsed as the contractor was removing the felt lining... I should have seen it coming and moved the radiator inside the house but its currently buried in some of the rubble and I doubt its water tight now Sad My luck is really not holding...

Poo. Bum. Wee.

At least nobody was underneath it.

There's a chance it survived. If you manage to retrieve it and it looks OK I'm still interested.

I'm sure your luck is gonna change. I'll put in a good word for you.

Apologies. I forgot about that. We just got the white stuff on Friday. It only lasted a day.
