I'll have to fill up again on Friday and that will mean that I've spent over £170 on fuel in one month!!! And that's purely "Fun Fuel", not commuting. Truth is, I just can't afford to spend that every month.
On top of that, I always end up spending more when I'm out on the bike because I go to places and become a tourist every weekend :lol . I guess I need to stay in more or get a 125 :'(
Is anyone else feeling the fuel-pinch?

Yes the duty on fuel is evil.
My 600 is my commuter which thankfully I'm getting about 56 meg
Prob I have is our cage , old audi A4 v6 which get 22 mpg tops.
Which means we use the bike more ,great in good weather, but try bringing ya weeks shopping home on one :\

tank bag, tail pack and panniers, 80 or 90 quid worth including a mop and a bucket.
Smell ones mother. Yaas!
Yep, a CG125 will solve the problem. At least twice as economical... and you won't want to cover a thousand miles a month on it either. :lol

Lol would be ok with just me , but my missed is tank bag, tail pack and panniers by herself :o
Lol
I used to do my shopping on my Fazer; now I go by cycle, how green is that!
A few years after passing my test I went back to using my CG125. Man it was GREAT fun - you constantly rev the nuts off it and still get over 100 mpg :lol
If you took three of your plugs out you'd have a 250. :lol

Now that's a good idea Andy :lol
The commuting bit was just to clarify that I don't use the bike for anything other than leisure, Rusty. And don't even mention the 22mpg my car does! Good job my commuting is only 3 miles a day :lol
Farjo - I have a friend who has a Fazer and a CB125. About 90% of his riding is done on the 125 and he absolutely loves it. Needless to say, if he goes touring, the Fazer comes out, but otherwise he rides everywhere at 100mpg. He says he gets looked down at when he's at the usual bike-gatherings by "proper" bikers :lol . They've no idea that he's been riding bikes for years, is a qualified instructor and could ride the pants off most of them :rolleyes .

£170 in a month? Kin ell. I have put £250 in my car in the last 9 days and need to fill it up again before I get home tonight!
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again
I used to not give a foc, then I discovered Red Bull and now I don't give a flying foc !!!

maddog........you could use your wet dream
One, is never going to be enough.....
There is no point using the 250N as I had one 30yrs ago and it did 60mpg all the time so it's no better than my 600 Fazer

So at 22mpg your weekly 5 day commute to work costs you around £4.50 a week in petrol? :rollin
Added to your 'leisure' petrol costs of £170.00 that's still only £188.00 a month in total. That's about forty seven quid a week of optional 'fun' fuel, and next to f*ck all to get to work. All things considered that's not too bad.
