one of the bastards nearly took the front off my car this morning because he had to get to the front. no sick child, just a wanker . i was at the front of a queue outside sainsburys in warrington,my lane goes straight on or left into sainsburys. wanker is next to me in a right turn only lane. 51 reg 5 series estate silver. ordinary middle aged bloke driving it. lights change,we go,he goes straight on and pushes me over and i have to brake or he would have hit me. if you have read my other posts you will probably understand how i feel about this :evil . i blow horn and flash lights and am treated with a middle finger through the back window :evil :evil . i continue to blow horn and gesture for him to pull over, finger again, i want this wanker to die now.call it fate but he turns into the access road that leads to my street,i follow. he passes the first road on his right then comes to the second one (my street) and turns. so do i,he is driving a lot quicker now as he is convinced i am never going to give up. my street has severe speed bumps and looks like coronation street a bit but with cars parked nose to tail on both sides. he is now doing about 40!! down a little street over these horrible speed bumps banging the underside of his car. i am only doing 20 as thats as fast as i dare go over them, straight across an unmarked junction, hits the brakes and turns right heading back toward the road he just came off. i park up and go in my house happy in the knowledge he has done damage to his car and like all the rest of em he is a coward as well as a wanker :lol . i will be keeping my eye open for him,he was local because he had a warrington wolves sticker in the back. next time i see him it will be horns and lights again, lets see if he bottles it again :evil :evil :evil

Be careful with that one Chilly, if he had stopped it could escalate and you would quickly find yourself in Prison.  Don't ask me how I know.  :lol

I must have an alternative way of thinking on this one. I have a toyota corolla (8 years old, 88000 miles on clock). if someone like the above wants to play chicken with a beaten up old car (when they are in the wrong) then im quite happy to claim out of their insurance.

If a person tailgates me I tend to ignore them or get out of their way. But if moving means cutting another driver up I just carry on as I am until I can get out of the way safely, I'm not going break the speed limit to satisfy some moron's ego. This course of action, according to my girlfriend, is wrong but that won't stop me doing it  Big Grin

Same here.  If it's a normal 30mph road I just tend to let of the gas and coast... I have ended up stopping a couple of times... when pulling away if they get right up behind again then coast to a stop again... they get the hint eventually  :lol

Funnily enough the only times I've had this since moving out of London are when I've had to drive back into London  :'(

I've been doing a lot of driving in Wales recently and between there and London - I've noticed a lot more aggression and impatience on the road, most notably from young women in Citroens. No idea what it means, but there you go.

Also, if I was driving like a twat to get to the hospital for a loved one (mercy dash) I would have my 4 ways on, flashing my lights and tooting the horn. I did it once to get home when my wife fell unconscious after a knock on the head - she just managed to call my number, say 'help I've hit my head' and then dial tone.

One twat thought I was 'pushing in' at a queue of lights and tried to stop me, I nearly blew a gasket.

Times are hard m8 - they probably cant afford BMWs  :lol

Fav trick on a motorway when someone tailgates me/flashes (in outside lane) is to slow down and match the speed of the car in the inside lane.

doesnt half get them annoyed!!!
