Is this normal

I've not long bought my fazer and don't really know that much about it just wonder if its normal for the engine to be noisy when u start it up from cold, its seems to rattle abit in the morning but when up to temperature its fine. If anyone could tell me if its a normal or not it would be much appreciated Thanks

you will always get a bit of engine noise when its cold  :\  untill the oil has been pumped to the top of the engine,you can ease this by making sure the cam chain tensioner and valve clearences are correctly adjusted 
  another top tip......empty the loose change from your pockets  :rollin :rollin :rollin

Some bikes are noisy from cold, and settle as they warm up; it takes a few seconds for oil to circulate round the top end.

I took 04 gen 1 to do a spot of shopping yesterday and, as it was only 5 minutes away, didn't bother putting earplugs in... bloody hell what a racket! Harder to pin down which bits weren't rattling/buzzing than which bits were.
So the cure seems to be earplugs  :lol
