Problem started lastnight sure the return spring up the ghost.as had the same syptoms on another thou many moons ago but this time im opting out the repair myself ordered both springs an gaskets this morning.
I have a halfords pro socket set an various other tools in the garage from what i see looks pretty straight forward but any pointers on how long it should take an little trick would be appreicated.

deffo not too tight mate bike is running fine aswell done about 40 miles threw all the gear an rev range just the slipping into neutral thats the problem you can do it just not as quick an smooth as usual .

The return springs are a doddle to replace, just make sure you have a bit rag to hand as there can be a little oil up there. Also make sure you clean off all of the old gasket before re-fitting.
I also find it easier to remove the complete footrest hanger (its only 3 bolts) it saves a bit of struggling.

was sure it was the spring but it wasnt cant see anything un towards in that area stumped !!!

a poorly adjusted or after market clutch cable could be to blame.
i rebuilt my clutch on mine and bought a new (not the cheapest) cable and finding neutral was a real challenge. i swapped the cable for a genuine one and neutral is dead easy now! (and the lever action is lighter and smoother too)
is it clean enough?
Cheers guy i do have an after market cable on the bike been running it for about fifteen hundred miles does the job but i aint happy with it , i did get a false neutral the other day dropping from 6th to 5th an read a similar thread to the one you posted mike where the a guy on the same site got the false neutral going from 5th to 6th an turned out to be the cap .
So the plan it get on the phone to fowlers for gasket an have nose in the clutch side if that is the problem i will sort a new cable too an keep it if not i'll out it as is or break it an give breamcatcher a call :lol .
